Trines describe where ease and abundance may occur, according to the houses they occupy and what planets they are composed of. Planets in trine with each other, are either 120° apart, or occupy signs of the same element. In astrology, a trine is said to be a harmonious aspect. A perfect Grand Trine occurs when the planets are each 120° apart, thus forming a perfect equilateral triangle however, many astrologers use generous aspect orbs when analyzing Grand Trines. For example, a Grand Air Trine occurs when one planet is in Gemini, another in Libra, and a third in Aquarius. A Grand Trine in astrology is said to occur when three planets occupy signs of the same element (fire, earth, air, or water).
